Caledonian Pearl is an excellent salad potato. It produces large yields of uniform, yellow-skinned tubers with shallow eyes. The skin of the tubers ‘sets’ quickly so that it can be harvested early. A good alternative to ‘International Kidney’ which has been a crop fail for the last 3/4 years.
