- Hardiness: Known as the hardiest variety, it easily survives winter, providing harvests a month earlier than spring-sown types.
- Planting: Sow in October–November for overwintering, or February–March for summer crops.
- Habit: Grows to 100cm (39″) in height and 45cm (18″) in spread.
- Harvest: Produces high yields of long, well-filled, and tender white beans.
- Tips: Support with canes, protect from slugs/mice, and pinch out the tops to prevent blackfly.
