Probably the earliest of all shallots, this red Dutch bred variety produces a heavy crop of smaller size bulbs that have an intense flavour.
It is not unusual for Pikant Red to be ready for harvesting in July, yet it will often keep until the following May.
Great bolting resistance
We supply individual bulbs which, when re-planted, grow on to form clusters of up to 7 shallots usually ready to harvest in July.
